FusionExcel Donates USD 5,000.00 to "Christmas for Payatas" Charity

As part of FE's continuos committment to help the less fortunates of society, FE is donating USD 5,000.00 to the global "Christmas For Payatas" Charity, organised jointly by Judge Lorenzo's Lighthouse For Children Foundation and Totedaddy Ltd. The Lighthouse for Children Foundation currently provides food to underpriviledged children, numbering around 500 children daily in the Payatas area of Philippines. Totedaddy Ltd is an event forecast portal, the CEO of which is Matthew Ting.

The landfill in Payatas is notoriously known the world over as Smoky Mountain and over 35 years the smoky dumpsite has grown to become a stark and heart tugging reminder of the desperate conditions of humanity. Children as young as 4 years old scavenge through newly arrived garbage to collect material to sell to buy food for the family on a daily basis.

The global "Chistmas For Payatas "Charity has gained the support of many prominent Filipinos and International sports stars, the list of which is growing everyday, including President Arroyo of Philippines, Vice President Noli de Castro, Senate President and Nacionlista Party President, Senator Manny Villar, Congresswoman of Las Pinas Cynthia Villar, Congressman of Quezon City, Mat Defensor, former Congresswoman of Quezon City and President of Philippine National Construction Corporation, Maite Defensor, Mayor of Quezon City, Sonny Belmonte.

VIPs, sports stars and personalities supporting the charity and who who attended the filming of a short documentary at Payatas itself, include Mayor Sonny Belmonte, Congressman Mat Defensor, former Congresswoman Maite Defensor, Ray Parlour (former soccer star from Arsenal, UK), Lee Sharpe (former soccer star from Manchester United, UK), Steve Black (Owner, Masters Football International), Robert Teasdale (Owner, Masters Football Asia), Jean Daniels (International Long Drive Golf Specialist), Samboy Lim (Filipino Basketball Legend), Allan Caidic (Filipino Basketball Legend), Alvin Patrimonio (Filipino Basketball Legend), Manuel Monsour del Rosario (Filipino Taekwondo Champion & Movie Star), Cory Quirino ( TV Host and Celebrity ) , Zorah Andam (TV Host and former Miss Philippines), Ronnie Ricketts, Tonton Guitierrez, Gene Padilla, Ramon Guitierrez, etc.

FE's USD 5,000.00 donation together with Totedaddy Ltd's USD 10,000.00 donation is a great kickstart to the global "Christmas For Payatas" Charity which will help bring cheer to the children of Payatas this Christmas 2008. Depending on the amount raised, the money will be used for education by providing scholarships, skills training and low cost housing.

The global "Christmas For Payatas" Charity appeal video will be broadcast to millions around the world through uTube (with the help of 500 bloggers worldwide), Filipino channels ABS-CBN, NBN (which are shown all over the world) and possibly on CNN this Christmas.
