Margarita is a tireless social worker, who as the Co - Chairperson of Habitat for Humanity, Philippines, has overseen the building of thousands of low cost homes for the homeless in the Philippines.
Habitat For Humanity International (www.habitat.org) is a global NGO that builds, rehabilitates and repairs simple decent houses with the homeowner (known as "partner") families, volunteer labour and donation of money and materials. Former US President, Jimmy Carter, is an active volunteer and every year since 1984, has donated a week of his time - and his building skills - to Habitat. Of the annual "Carter Work Project" which he and his wife, Rosalynn, leads he says" We have become small players in an exciting global effort to alleviate the curse of homelessness".
FE is proud to be associated with an entity as noble as Habitat and looks forward to future collaborations to help ease the burdens of the less fortunate of society.
